Symposium "View Axis" Göllheim
2007
Original image path
Like a subterranean line of force, visible in some places through a mosaic paving stone, the primal image path runs visibly through Göllheim in nine different places. Beginning and ending with the spiral, which is to be understood here as a primeval pattern that points to "old (Celtic) times", each other mosaic paving stone also has its own independent symbolism.
Horizontal path axis corresponds to vertical time axis. To each stone there is a "parallel stone", which, in terms of content and form, brings two places into energetic interaction.
This creates a dialogue between passer-by, location and neighbouring artwork. The mosaic stones made of porcelain stoneware and glass were partly set on the original paving stones and partly on cast concrete slabs.
Walking over art, standing on it, touching it, even when bent, encountering art - metamorphosis of the everyday axis of vision.
